For episode 120, Chaney Elaine of Texas band House Parties joins us. Chaney took a break from their tour with Games We Play to discuss the history of the band.
House Parties will play at Four Chord Festival in Pittsburgh on June 23 as part of a stacked line up - be sure to there if you are in the area!
Since signing to Equal Vision Records last year, House Parties have put out their EP 'Side Effects'. Chaney discusses how the EP was received and what it was like writing with Derek DiScanio of State Champs.

Today we are joined by James Scarlett, organiser and band booker of 2000 Trees and ArcTanGent festivals. James talks about how 2000 Trees Festival was conceived by him and five friends back in 2006. They wanted to create a festival that had a great a community around it and was a pleasant one to attend. 2000 Trees was born in 2007 and has been going ever since, featuring artists like Frank Turner and Jimmy Eat World over the years. The festival will welcome headliners The Gaslight Anthem later this summer as well as other impressive names.
James also co-hosts the podcast '2 Promoters, 1 Pod', which provides a great insight into what it is like being a successful promoter, be sure to give it a listen.
In the intro this time, Chris and Nick have a special guest in the form of Bobby Grohl from Elvana! Bobby gives us a peak into what it's like being part of the awesome machine that is Elvana. We also discuss Taylor Swift referencing The Starting Line on her new album, as well as music from Mest, Super American, and Militarie Gun.

We are thrilled to welcome Tony Lovato, singer for Mest, back to the podcast. We were keen to talk to Tony ahead of Mest's new single 'When We Were Young'.
Tony tells us about the upcoming album and how it came about. He discusses writing in the Hollywood Hills with Taylor Carroll from Lit.
Mest will be reaching their 30th anniversary next year, we discuss their legacy and why the band is still very much relevant today.

Today we are joined by Sherry Saeedi and Nick Lippman from Verswire. Launched in 2022, Verswire is a VC incubator for artists providing development and label services. Sherry and Nick teamed up with Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz when they created the company.
Sherry and Nick tell Chris about how the company has grown and how they see it as the future. Verswire is currently working with Beauty School Dropout and girlfriends, but expect to see more names on their roster very soon.

We are joined by G’Ra and Rihanna from the band Baby Got Back Talk. Forming in 2017, the band have been making catchy, pop punk songs and have attracted a large following. We discuss the band's formation and how they ended up on Wiretap Records.
G’Ra recently wrote a piece for the Boston Globe 'A rollicking rebuke to the idea that rock music isn’t black music'. This was a pushback against recent comments from Rolling Stone cofounder, Jann Wenner.
Baby Got Back Talk have put together a mixtape full of artists demonstrating that Wenner’s argument that woman and people of colour 'didn't articulate at that level' within rock music is nonsense.
The band will also be releasing a new song and video which will accompany the article and mixtape. Keep an eye out for this soon.

We are delighted to be joined by Cassadee Pope for episode 115. It's fair to say that Cassadee has had a fascinating career. We discuss her beginnings with the Warped Tour band Hey Monday and coming up in that scene. After Hey Monday disbanded, Cassadee entered The Voice in the US, which she ended up winning. This led to a successful career in the pop-country world. Most recently, she has embarked on a welcome return to pop punk. We dicuss all of this as well as what the future holds for her.
Cassadee Pope's new album will be out soon, keep an eye out for that!
We also have a clip of the fantastic new single 'Past Your Best' by Essex band Sharp Eyes. This will be out everywhere on March 6, don't sleep on them!

Chris and Will talk about the band’s influence and their career, as well as how the band operates today. If you don’t know them, it’s well worth diving into their catalogue.

Episode 113, and we are joined by singer Donots' singer, Ingo Knollmann. The Donots are a huge band in Germany and this year celebrate their 30th anniversary! Ingo tells Chris all about how the band have grown throughout their career and have recently played their biggest shows to date. As well as running Solitary Man Records with the rest of the band, Ingo also hosts 'Donots Rockshow' on Radio Bob.

Greywind are an alternative rock duo from Ireland. Steph and Paul join Chris ahead of the release of their brand new single 'Antidote'. They discuss growing up in Killarney with no scene and being the only people they knew that loved emo music. They attracted attention with their first ever recording and rose quickly but have had bumpy ride in the industry since. Paul and Steph discuss how they perservered and believed in their band, and how this has led them to where they are today.
